Honeycomb Wood

They follow a innovative way of making light weight furniture. A honeycomb structure of paper is stuck between two pieces of plywood thus giving the impression that the entire plank is wood and it also becomes light weight. This technique is used to make doors, and cabinets. They also make veneer. First the logs of wood are sliced into sheets, then the sheets are placed next to each other and stuck together to for bigger sheets. The moist sheets are dried and pressed together to straighten them out.
